Even compared with the first, “Scream 6” is fresh and brings something new; it would make Wes Craven proud.
“Missing” just takes it to new levels; the story is not as powerful or believable as “Searching”, but it is way more interesting than the “Unfriended” movies, but it is much “bigger” in scale, which makes it much more impressive in regards to the writing.
It’s rare to watch a movie and still struggle to fully process it 24 hours later, but that’s precisely how I felt after watching “Infinity Pool.”
Morbius is the second attempt of Sony to milk the Spider-man property; after Venom, this was not the most obvious villain to take on, but I have to say,
“RRR” is nuts, absolutely nuts, and honestly, it has every element for me to hate it; somehow, I had a blast with it.
“Tár” is easily one of the most influential movies of the year, not only by the juggernaut of talent that is Cate Blanchett but also because of the subject matters it takes on.
“Creed III” is the first of the 9 movies that don’t have Sylvester Stallone involved in some way, and believe it or not, that does make it feel different.
“Cocaine Bear”is undeniably crazy, and that’s what makes it work. It’s impossible to handle the story of a cocaine-addicted bear in a safe way, and everyone involved in the movie knew that.
“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” is a 131-minute movie with 90% action and stunts, and not any kind of action and stunts; you get the best you will ever see in any film.
“Shazam!” had many good individual things that got mixed with lazy writing, mixed tones, too many plots and plot holes a long runtime with no reason for it.
“Us” is one tough movie to write about with no spoilers, but still, we will try to talk about the experience of watching it and not so much the plot, messages, and sub-messages that it is full of it.
The change of actors, to be honest, didn’t hurt the film one little bit, Rooney Mara was, but Claire Foy is no way behind her in any way, to be honest, at some points she is able to bring Lisbeth Salander’s rage to screen on a more visceral way.
After watching “The Fabelmans” just a couple of days ago, I was pretty sure not many movies could hit me that hard; well, I was very wrong “The Whale” did.
“Last Night in Soho” is one of the year’s best films and my favourite of 2021. Not only is it stunning in every technical aspect, but it is also fresh and another masterclass in filmmaking by Edgar Wright.
I just watched “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” and let me start by saying that this movie is “BIG.” It’s probably one of the biggest movies in the MCU up to now. When I say “BIG,” I don’t mean in length. Sadly, the opposite is true.
“Ahhhhh, there are no original movies anymore.”, “Every story was told before, guess The Menu will shut many people up.
When over 10 years ago, when we first read the rumours that Steven Soderbergh, after the huge success of the “Oceans” trilogy, was going to do a movie about male strippers, we could never imagine that first, it would also become a trilogy and second that they would be this good.
Thor Love and thunder is insane, ok I just need to get this out of the way; this is the movie that we needed from the MCU.
“Prey” might even be better than the first in some elements, funny enough its the only one we don’t get to see on the cinema.
