“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3” (2023)
James Gunn defied the odds and returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe amidst pressure to conclude one of its most beloved franchises. However, he had to overcome the challenge of quelling the voices opposing his rehire, given his past removal from the franchise and association with DC, which some consider the “enemy.”
Adding to this, the recent MCU movies have faced criticism. After Taika Waititi, Ryan Coogler, and Peyton Reed delivered movies that underperformed, Gunn took charge and delivered what every Guardians fan desired and more. In my view, it is the best comic book movie ever made.
There are no flaws in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, It boasts impressive visuals, comedy, action, character development, and heart, which moved me to tears several times unexpectedly. In contrast to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where some characters appeared weaker, none are present in this movie. Even Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock, who had limited screen time, was exceptional.
Rocket is the central character, but Gunn brilliantly allows everyone to have their time in the spotlight. I am short of words; it is a stunning and heartfelt masterpiece and probably the most outstanding final chapter in a trilogy that needed no gimmicks to evoke an emotional response.
The visuals of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” are breathtaking, and the action scenes are exhilarating. A “corridor” scene in this movie matches the level of a Daredevil scene.
Chukwudi Iwuji impresses as the villain, and he exudes a creepy persona that only someone with Gunn’s background could achieve.
Although the conclusion of Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana’s characters may not be what viewers expect, it is precisely what we need. There is so much more to say, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Just ensure you stay for the after-credits scene, as the second one could be what I am anticipating.
